THE SIDE WINGS

JK Green produced two 1d plays, one miniature play and fifty-three ½d plays.

I have not seen any of Green’s wing plates for the miniature Miller and His Men.

The two 1d plays of Jonathan Bradford and The Miller & His Men, used three separate wing plates between them.

Unfortunately I have only seen two of these and these appear below.

I suspect that Wings No.1 of the 1d scale were wood scenes very much like Wings No.1 of the ½d scale seen below,

as they would fit the scenes in Jonathan Bradford, where there are at least two or three woodland type scenes that I have seen.

Wings No.1 of the ½d scale were the only wings in that scale that were not produced for a particular play.

JK Green produced 47 separate wing plates for the ½d scale, most were used in more than one play.

Most popular was No.6 used in 17 different plays.
